A specific reason for the suspension wasn't immediately known.
A second-year player, Stone appeared in eight games last year on special teams as a Ravens reserve after signing with the team at midseason. Stone, 23, became a free agent during the offseason when the Ravens didn't tender him a contract as an exclusive-rights player.
A 2007 sixth-round pick by Atlanta, Stone played in 12 games for Atlanta as a rookie. He was arrested on a drunken-driving charge in June 2008 and released two months later at the end of training camp.
