Baltimore Ravens Notes, Quotes 2008-11-28
--The NFL announced that the Ravens' home game against the Washington Redskins on Dec. 7 has been moved to Sunday night and will be shown nationwide on NBC.

Originally scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff, the Redskins at Ravens game will be played at 8:15 p.m. Replacing the New England Patriots-Seattle Seahawks contest, the Redskins-Ravens matchup is the first moved via flexible scheduling and pits two teams with 7-4 records, potential playoff berths and rookie head coaches.

Playing on Sunday night on a national stage didn't matter to coach John Harbaugh, who said: "Couldn't care less. It doesn't matter. We'll be there. We'll show up on time."

--Cornerback Fabian Washington didn't go as far as Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Johnathan Joseph, who suggested that the Eagles offense was predictable in the 13-13 tie between those two teams Nov. 16.

But Washington said the Ravens' defensive backs recognized that the Philadelphia passing attack featured a penchant for double moves, which might have resulted in interceptions by Washington and fellow cornerback Samari Rolle.

"We watched film all week and we knew that was big in their game plan," Washington said. "They run a lot of double moves, so we weren't jumping the first routes (Sunday). They were playing right into our hands, doing all of those double moves and stuff because with double moves, the quarterback isn't going to have that much time because we have guys coming off the edge to get him."

--Harbaugh defended the play of the special teams unit, which surrendered its second kickoff return for a touchdown this season. Pointing out Jameel McClain's blocked punt, a punt rush that produced a 15-yard tripping penalty on the Eagles and contributed to a field goal by Matt Stover in the second quarter, and punt coverage on DeSean Jackson, Harbaugh said: "I was disappointed with the special teams on the spot after the game. Going back and looking at the tape, I'm pleased with them, believe it or not, because all of the other plays were really good, solid plays."

--Free safety Ed Reed, who was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week, said he considered lateraling the football to rookie safety Haruki Nakamura just before crossing the goal line toward the end of his record-setting 108-yard interception return for a touchdown. "He asked for it," Reed said. "But he was telling me to watch the guys coming to my right."

--Linebacker Antwan Barnes stopped Philadelphia running back Brian Westbrook for a 2-yard loss in the third quarter by pulling on Westbrook's jock strap. Quipped Harbaugh: "I think it's a testament to the resiliency of some of the football equipment that they're putting out now."

BY THE NUMBERS: 9 -- Touchdown passes by quarterback Joe Flacco in his last six games (a 5-1 record over that time).

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Just keep taking care of one team at a time, one week at a time. At the end of the season, if everything goes to plan, we'll look and see where we are. But first things first, we've got to handle our business. We control our fate. So let's go at it." -- DE/LB Terrell Suggs, on where the Ravens are headed.
