Baltimore Ravens Notes, Quotes 2008-11-05
--Unlike their last game, the Ravens didn't generate any offense with their two-quarterback package. The only memorable play was backup QB Troy Smith getting slammed to the ground by LB Willie McGinest on an option run.

But the Ravens did try some trickery. Starting DT Haloti Ngata ran a pass route in a goal-line situation. However, the athletic 6-foot-4, 345-pounder stumbled when he got into his pattern in the end zone and tangled with McGinest.

"Man, it sucks," Ngata said. "McGinest thought it was a run play, and we both swam each other. That's what made me slip. I tried to get going as fast as I could. It sucks that I slipped like that."

--Ravens coach John Harbaugh dedicated the victory to former Ravens majority owner Art Modell, who remains a controversial figure in Cleveland after moving the original Browns to Maryland.

--There was a scary moment in the fourth quarter, when Ngata dropped to his knees with a stinger and had to leave the field. But he returned to the game and appeared to be fine afterward.

--The Ravens' game-day captains were all backups who have stepped up into starting roles this season -- DT Justin Bannan, OT Willie Anderson and S/KR Jim Leonhard.
