Ravens coach John Harbaugh didn't sound optimistic about Jared Gaither's chances of playing Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Gaither, the Ravens' starting left tackle, left with an injured right shoulder in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 30-10 loss to the New York Giants and did not return.
"We think it's going to be touch and go," said Harbaugh, who hadn't received the results of Gaither's MRI test.
This could be a challenging week for the Ravens to rotate their offensive line. The Eagles sacked Bengals quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick eight times on Sunday.
If Gaither can't play, the Ravens likely would start Adam Terry, but Terry isn't at full strength either.
Terry left the game with an ankle injury but returned to finish. He hasn't started at left tackle since Oct. 7, 2007.
"Adam will be OK," Harbaugh said. "He's fighting through different things, but he's going to be fine. He's a tough guy."
If Terry shifts from right tackle to left, it's unsure what the Ravens would do at right tackle. Willie Anderson had started the past five games there before missing Sunday with an ankle injury.
Harbaugh said there is "a chance" that Anderson could start against the Eagles.
"It didn't hurt him at all not playing in the game," Harbaugh said. "The biggest thing we were concerned about was a setback in this game. So, he has a chance to come back."
The Ravens' other option at right tackle is rookie Oniel Cousins, a third-round pick out of UTEP.
Harbaugh applauded the hard-nosed effort of Gaither, who has taken over for perennial Pro Bowl tackle Jonathan Ogden this season.
"Jared just did a tremendous job against all the guys rushing on the left side," Harbaugh said. "He was basically pass protecting with one arm. Talk about concentrating on your footwork and technique. He did really well."
Meanwhile, Harbaugh said he expected Willis McGahee to start at running back on Sunday.
A week after rushing for a season-best 112 yards in Houston, McGahee managed just 18 on nine carries against the Giants. He limped off the field with just over two minutes left in the third quarter, after a 1-yard carry, and did not return.
After the game, a Ravens spokesman said McGahee had "tweaked" his right ankle (the same one that kept him out two weeks ago in Cleveland) but was not kept out of the game for that reason.
"I think Willis' ankle is OK," Harbaugh said.
